A film with a a finger on the pulse of Post War Brtain... The film is wonderfully acted by the entire cast, although with such a fantastic script and snappy dialogue it was bound to be excellent... I did find it hard to enjoy this film, it was slow at times and although it dealt with issues of it's day, they are not still as relelvant and therefore less engaging to me as a modern viewer.
.. still a top film.
