Review of A Tale of Two Sisters (2003) by Scott G — 05 Apr 2011
One of the best asian horror film and definatly the best of the ghostly girl with black hair films were getting from asia, the grudge, the ring, dark water. amung them.
Su-mi and su yeon, are 2 sisters who after the death of there mother and a stint in a mental hospital, they go home to there father at the house where the events happend, strange things happen while there, fotsteps doors opening, ghostly things, is it the sisters playing tricks, the step mother playing mind games, of the real deal, and not to mention a girls apearence, by visitors to the house,.
For me this is really scary, asian horror are best at doing, creepyness, no real gore to speak off, but very haunting, we see a lotb of this in aian cinema, its a phenomenon people believe in I believe, great scenes of creepyness, and you wont look at a closet the same way again, and a nice twist as well, great performances all round especially there 2 kids, see it and dont ignore it for the decent enough u.s remake, which doesent come under this title,.
