Review of A Tale of Two Sisters (2003) by Gabriel B — 07 Apr 2011
Two sisters and a Stereotype Stepmother in a haunted house. Not literally. More of a drama with horror elements (which all horror should be!) Psychological and supernatural with topnotch art direction from shooting style to the details of color (aesthetically and aurally beautiful).
The human mind is immensely powerful and yet too vulnerable to the daily interactions. What can crush our hearts can whack our brains. (Not the best line I can conceive as of the moment) It's not about the temporary superficial shocks but the visceral shock in our hearts as we come to know what this tale really is.
How our actions and inactions rebound even after death.
