Review of A Streetcar Named Desire (1951) by Kevin H — 15 Apr 2009
Slighty racy. An excellent drama. Vivien Leigh, Kim Hunter and Karl Malden deliver great performances, all of which won well-deserved Oscars. Marlon Brando must play one of the most unlikeable characters ever committed to film, and yet, there is a strange sympathy for him.
The cinematography and sets are great.
