Review of A Streetcar Named Desire (1951) by Hari A — 13 Jun 2012
Vivan Leigh's performance as the subtle and exquisite but complicated woman is beyond doubt one of the most satisfying performances ever. Embodying tragedy and mystery, her rendezvous with Stanley Kowalski (Marlon Brando) and his masculine aura creates some of the most legendary scenes in movie history.
"Now just remember what Huey Long said that every man's a king and I'm the king around here, and don't you forget it.".
