Review of A Streetcar Named Desire (1951) by Bradley P — 16 Jun 2013
A well done portrayal of the brilliant stageplay, and what genius of the play it lacks it makes up for entirely with Brando's incredible performance, as well as some other tip top performances within the cast.
Yet it is really Marlon Brando who makes the picture, with a performance so brash yet humane that the audience is constantly guessing at what Stanley will do next, bash in some appliance or caress his wife.
