Review of A Story Worth Living (2016) by John A — 19 May 2016
I went with some buddies to watch this film and we all enjoyed the way it was presented, as a film about adventure that ordinary guys like us could relate to, not something you see on Red Bull that only .
01% of the world will ever get to do. I appreciated the way the guys in the movie shared their stories, because it's hard to be truthful in a world where masculinity is measured by how big your balls are, not the substance of your character.
Their faith is foundational to their lives, so it makes sense to be a major part of a life-threatening set of circumstances, and I was glad there was no "Touched by an Angel" flannel-graph moment.
Overall, a solid film, IMO.
