I had been looking forward to seeing this movie for months and had high expectations. I am pleased to say it DID NOT DISAPPOINT!

As I watched the movie I was struck by several things:

1) The beauty of Colorado! Wow, there is a part of the world I need to explore more.

2) The friendship and love between these men. I can't imagine doing something like this with my own father. I certainly can't imagine talking with my dad the way these young men talk with their father, John. That alone was inspirational and challenging!

3) The beauty that their epic adventure isn't going to be mine. It doesn't have to be. Just because their epic adventure isn't the same as mine doesn't discount it. To be sure, the risks I take, (my own adventure) may not seem like much to them. It doesn't invalidate or diminish anything in my life.

Sam, Blaine, Luke, John, Dan and JD I celebrate your desire to pursue this dream and your willingness to share this journey, along with your hearts with us. (That in and of itself is an adventure and a risk.).

This movie certainly challenged and inspired me to take some risks, to dream about what adventure I want to pursue, and to pursue some of the things I have only dared to dream about (and even some I hadn't even considered before. Who knows, maybe one day I will go on an adventure on a motorcycle?!).
