Review of A Star Is Born (2018) by Lamontraymond — 04 Oct 2018
It's a tale of two movies - the first half is spectacular and spine-tingling. But as soon as she finds her success, it gets torpedoed. I thought she'd turn into an Amy Winehouse kind of singer, but her eventual path is highly disappointing.
Even Cooper's directing choices take a few poor turns in the latter half. It's worth seeing, but nowhere near what the critics are saying it is.
