Review of A Star Is Born (2018) by Christine L — 07 Oct 2018

We already know the plot going in, so what I was interested in was HOW the story would be told. There was a lot of potential -- and I suspect a lot of good stuff on the cutting room floor. No characters are fleshed out besides the two leads, and when one of them dies, you don't really care because you never really cared about either one.

Lady Gaga's singing makes it worthwhile, but if I had known ahead of time how hollow a film it is, I would have waited til it was on Netflix.
