Review of A Star Is Born (2018) by Kimberley G — 06 Oct 2018
Lady Gaga's truthfulness about life comes through Ally although she professes their ambitious differences, the truth shine through make up or no. Bradley Cooper pulls it off as a beautiful tragic cliche addicted musician.
I loved the casting'Dice Man" was excellent, Sam Elliott always soulful. I loved the relationship between Sams character and Bradley. I inderstand why Cooper made the tragic choice he did as its relevance for today.
The most beautiful artistic souls are the most tortured. The music was beautiful. If I could change one thing I wish Ally would've confronted the manager and there has been a scene where she did that.
I loved the symbolism of the last scene back bare faced and natural hair. That performance though was not my favorite. All in all fantastic movie but I do love the Barbra Streisand version, for me it's my favorite.
Great job Bradley Cooper.
