Review of A Star Is Born (2018) by Amanda W — 07 Oct 2018
Coming from a place of I went into this movie KNOWING that I had not seen the other originals. I did that on purpose. I knew that bradley and gaga's vision for this movie was not the exact same as the other ones.
I personaly never judge a movie on what rating it got. I feel its unfair, and I feel its best to make up your own mind, be your own critic & judge movies on how it made you feel, the acting, etc. Thats huge for me, if there's bad acting in it.
. then the movie just doesnt go anywhere unfortunatley. Iv'e always thought indepently, and I really wanted to go into this movie with no pre judgement. This was a whole other cast, different views, different ideas.
I thought it was absolutley incredible. Lady gaga deserves to be looked at as an actress after that performance. Bradley cooper, I think hes a genius.. I have always thought he was one of the greats in acting, he's raw and vulnerable in this movie.
. and he shines as an actor and director. You sit there and all of a sudden, you're immersed into this movie.. they make you feel right there with them. I laughed, I cried. This movie truly moved me.
The entire theatre was crying, I could feel the energy in the theatre and I have rarley experienced that. And for that I think this movies deserving of awards.. and I will take this experience with me forever.
As an actress & a movie FREAK - I give it 5 stars, one for each cast member, and an audience score of 100%.?
