Review of A Star Is Born (1976) by Lana M — 02 Jan 2008
Streisand and Kristofferson are quite a pair musically, and this makes up for the total lack of chemistry between them sexually. "A Star is Born" is classic Stresiand, with insightful tunes and a love story that will satisfy even the biggest cynic.
The film was under fire while it was made because Stresiand's then lover Jon Peters, a former hairdresser, was producing ... a smart, romantic musical-drama.
