Review of A Star Is Born (1954) by Travis H — 24 Jul 2004
At times a celebration that you can't help but join in, and at times a sad and melancholy. It's certainly a joy-ride for Judy Garland in a typical role and James Mason is pretty darn good. Its problem is is that it is far too lengthy and drags on and on. Nonetheless, a classic musical and I can't believe I didn't know that this was a remake. Have to catch the true original!
