Review of A Star Is Born (1954) by David E — 15 Jan 2011
Despite its lengthy runtime, this films moves along a a brisk pace, but never feels rushed. Centered on an impressive performance by Judy Garland, it's easy to enjoy. Though it's rife with musical numbers, it is not, strictly speaking, a musical.
Despite that fact, any fan of musicals, or of classic film in general, will enjoy this greatly.
