Review of A Sound of Thunder (2005) by Shane H — 15 Dec 2009

This could have been so much better if they had money to spend on it. The CGI is painful to watch especially the dinosaur they hunt at the beginning of the film. But despite that it does have a certain charm and the acting isn't that bad and Ben Kingsley hams it up marvelously.

One plot point that doesn't add up is 'the butterfly' and how it affects the future. If you follow the story you know that it was fluttering around the base of a volcano that was about to erupt therefore it was destined to die anyway as was everything around it.
