Review of A Soldier's Daughter Never Cries (1998) by Lee M — 01 Oct 2007
The film is as unkempt as a diary, with people's motivations obscure, many of their problems left unresolved and friends and acquaintances appearing and disappearing with a near-pinball like randomness.
But that is much of the charm of this film, as its honest portrait of a family in transition and crisis is full of the sort of tumult and confusion that most of us can identify with.
