Review of A Single Shot (2013) by Ellen G — 31 Aug 2014
Eerie, dark and achieves a nightmarish quality. Sam Rockwell portrays an unlucky country man who finds himself wrapped up in the middle of a murder and is marked for death by criminals after he comes into possession of a box of money.
The film is very interesting and feels like you are smack dab in the middle of a nightmare. The negative vibes are hard to shake off, making this dark drama a success. There is some excellent acting, suspenseful sequences and violence in this film. The darkest and most dramatic Sam Rockwell film I have seen so far. This is a quality film that is very haunting.
