Review of A Single Man (2009) by Darren P — 20 Dec 2010
Ok. I won't argue that Colin Firth's performance was nothing short of great. He deserved his Oscar nomination. But what of the movie? To be honest, it is painfully melodramatic and overdone. I'm sorry, but when the young boy full of life and questions is glowing an orange hue and the sad old man is in gray lighting in the same setting, it makes me want to vomit.
It's a soap opera.
