Review of A Single Man (2009) by Matthew C — 22 Nov 2010
After the death of his lover, a suave but distant teacher struggles to maintain his composure as he struggles with his loss. The film looks amazing. Colin Firth is fantastic in the lead. The use of color, its intensity and muteness, effectively conveys the emotions of the lead as little things spark memories, and remind him of better days.
A really beautiful film.
