Review of A Single Man (2009) by Joel C — 13 Jan 2011
Everything about this film is first class. Beautiful to look at, an amazing score, authentic costumes and art direction, talented supporting cast and Colin Firth in what should have been his oscar winning performance.
It moves at its own pace which is sure to irritate some, and it sometimes feels like a series of vignettes rather than a flowing narrative, but neither really bothered me too much.
An impressive debut from Tom Ford.
