Review of A Single Man (2009) by Florent V — 16 Jan 2011
The film in itself is wonderful. The novel by Isherwood has been perfectly translated for the big screen by Tom Ford. Wonderfully scripted and beautifully shot, the story unfolds smoothly thanks to great actors.
However, many shots of my bluray disc were poorly transferred, with some horrible artefacts in the image (horizontal lines). I suppose it is not my player's fault (PS3), since other scenes are perfectly sharp.
All in all a superb film, but the artifacts in some scenes just ruined my experience.
