Review of A Single Man (2009) by Kye Kye C — 30 Mar 2011
I should have done my homework on what this movie was really about before I watched it.
A Single Man is about a gay man who just lost his partner in a car accident. And the film takes you through this man's last day on earth because he wants to kill himself at midnight. But through a series of event he decides he loves life and doesnt want to, but in the end (spoiler alert) he dies of a heart attack on his bedroom floor.
This is a sad depressing movie, with only two good things about it. 1-Julianne Moore's character is flawless...she is pitch perfect. 2-whenever something makes the man's day brighter, we letterally see it because the screen gets brighter and that in itself is a very unique efect.
But all in all, this film does make you appreciate what/who you have, but it is still supremely depressing.
