Review of A Single Man (2009) by Jhordan W — 04 Jun 2011
Tom Ford gives us a stunningly beautiful looking movie, you can certainly tell he is a fashion designer. Every frame is so completely perfectly designed it makes the film a joy to watch. The use of colour to represent the feelings of Firths character as something touches him is a great little addition.
Not only is the film great to look at though, it has a great heart. The story is simple yet well told and the performances are fantastic from Firth, Moore and Hoult. The end monologue and the music, perfect.
