Review of A Single Man (2009) by Iris M — 11 Jun 2011
As a first time director, Tom Ford certainly knows what he is doing and how to direct his actors. Colin Firth is simply amazing as George. Tom Ford is right, Colin Firth's face can convey such emotions that the audience can feel with him.
Matthew Goode is beautiful but his accent is disturbing (I am from Colorado). Julianne Moore and Nicholas Hoult also give solid performance. This is a story of a straightly gay man but it is also a very simple and beautiful love story that teaches you to live in the present so that your every day would be as beautiful as George's last day.
