Review of A Single Man (2009) by Nadia D — 17 Feb 2012
Watching this was like watching a slideshow of well taken photos. Every frame looked great, but I wouldnâ(TM)t call it good cinematography as it did nothing in favour of storytelling. The story itself was weak, the characters were very hard to identify with (I couldnâ(TM)t have cared less about what was happening to them), unnecessary voice over and boring dialogue.
Editing was really bad but I guess it's because the direction was terrible, and every trick of editing and direction only pushed me further away from the story.
The suits looked great though.
