Review of A Single Man (2009) by Dawn K — 16 Mar 2012
This was a weird movie for me. I loved Colin Firth's performance. Actually, I loved everyone's performance. Julianne Moore is just brilliant in the tiny bit that you see her in this movie. And really, CF is brilliant.
He IS sad and tortured. And you just get sadder and sadder along with him until the end. I don't know that I really LIKED this movie. But I loved the acting and just how sad it was. That was portrayed so very well.
Its hard to transfer that kind of emotion to film and Tom Ford just nails it. I DID NOT like the end. I kind of felt ripped off. And I know I wouldn't watch this again. Just way too sad for me.
