Review of A Single Man (2009) by Gregory S — 25 Mar 2012
The cinematography is gorgeous and is one of the picture's better qualities, but colin firth's brilliance as an actor is what really shines in "a single man". most of the film's negative qualities come from the editing.
often slow paced and unnecessary slow motion, with a few scenes that go for an artsy feel that seem out of place. aside from some odd editing choices though, tom ford directs a decent film with one hell of a performance from firth.
