Review of A Single Man (2009) by Julia L — 25 Jul 2012
Tom Ford's directorial debut and a perfectly dreamy creation, which is able to please with its chic style and smart elegance. And in all of this fashion-infested, beautiful visuals, there is a story with much depth, one that is realistic and saddening.
When George (fantastic and adequate Colin Firth) loses his true love and decides to commit suicide by the end of the day, he embarks on a bizarre adventure, where he meets all kids of people, trying to renew his eagerness to live.
A truly satisfying movie and one of the best of the year.
