Review of A Single Man (2009) by Brad S — 28 Jan 2014
A masterful debut film from a visual and experiential poet. Writer/Director Tom Ford absolutely nails what we all look for in the cinematic experience in A Single Man. The level of craftsmanship in every single detail of every single frame of this story simply amazes me each and every time I see it.
Performances from everyone in the cast are top notch. This is the film Colin Firth should have won an Oscar for. There's really no way I could hold this film in higher esteem than I do. One of my Top 100 movies of all time.
