Review of A Single Man (2009) by Abdoelrhman M — 21 Feb 2015
A Single Man is a heartbreaking film about a 52 year old gay college professor who is just trying to find any reason to live months after his partner has died. Colin Firth takes us on a deep and sad journey as his character George just doesn't care about anything.
The cinematography was really well done and the filters they used to show the mood was perfect. You could tell when something was nice or gloomy as the film would turn bright or just dark and gray. A Single Man could be slow at times but that doesn't stop it from being a really good film.
A stand out film with great acting and an interesting story that will have you connecting/feeling for the main character George.
