Review of A Simple Plan (1998) by Adam K — 11 Aug 2008
What a disturbing movie. And I mean fucking distrubing. Sam Raimi directs his most creepy and reserved movie ever. Bill Paxton gives what is arguably the performance of his career, Bridget Fonda channels the spirit of Lady MacBeth from bell to bell, and Thornton as usual creates a quirky little character that is etched indeibly into your mind.
Not for people who are expecting a quick pace. Settle in, have a stiff drink and prepare to get a little weirded out.
