There are certain movies that, even if you see them at a time in your life when things aren't going so great they are so gripping and ask so many moral questions of its viewer that they completely are disconnected from the real world and get trapped inside the film.
And even after it's over you're still left pondering how you would handle each situation. This is that kind of film.
