Review of A Simple Favor (2018) by Autumn B — 10 Oct 2018
A simple favor is very similar to the movie Gone Girl. However, the tone shifts from comedy to thriller in a split second. Blake Lively is a talented actress who is perfect as the unstable Emily, and Anna Kendrick as Stephanie plays the same character she always plays- quirky and sweet.
This time, however, it is the men in their lives who are at the mercy of these imperfect characters. I would say it is a good movie, but not a great movie. It is too similar to other movies in this genre, to be a standout, but it is entertaining.
