Review of A Simple Favor (2018) by Lauren T — 27 Sep 2018
The feature film of 'Desperate Housewives' that really should have been a Hallmark made for TV movie. Anna Kendrick is strangely cast as she appears like a perennial teenager singleton rather than a single widowed mum, who is apparently grieving the loss of her husband and brother.
The soundtrack is excellent but this film is falsely hyped as a mystery thriller when it is in fact a chick flick comedy masquerading as mystery-thriller that never delivers. If you love Desperate Housewives your'll like it but this is not for me.
