I think the tomatometer needs some fine tuning. A Simple Favor is so much better than Crazy Rich Asians and yet lower on the meter. A Simple Favor is original, funny, very well acted, and well written.
Anna Kendrick and Blake Lively are terrific. The soundtrack is catchy and fun. The whole effect is kitschy and throwback, but updated and current. I can't think of a movie this tear that I've liked more.
