Review of A Silent Voice: The Movie (2016) by Jluis_001 — 08 Sep 2018
This anime is probably one of the best films I've seen in weeks and although its story could be thought repetitive the truth is that its execution is truly well structured and is emotionally resonant.
This film is about bullying but more importantly it's about the true sense of forgiveness, because even if it's not so in all cases the film shows in an intelligent and emotional way that the abuse can end up harming both the victims and the victimizers.
This is an anime about the repercussions of bullying but also about being able to achieve redemption in some way and it surprises even more when it forces you to accept and understand the main character even if you are unable to connect with him.
The animation is not excellent but to tell the truth is a minor flaw in the face of such a good story. Quite recommended, I even plan to buy the manga.
