Review of A Shot in the Dark (1964) by Steen T — 07 Nov 2007
The second of the Clouseau movies is probably the best. I'm one of those who is endlessly amused by Sellers' straight-faced bumbling about; others need not apply. In this one Clouseau tries to solve a murder in a mansion and surprisingly makes an utter mess of it. My favourite bit of dialogue:
Butler: "Phone call for Detective Clouseau.".
Clouseau: "Ah, that would be for me.".
