Review of A Serious Man (2009) by Ruth K — 02 Feb 2011
How can a movie be both so funny and so angst ridden? Although the Coens strike a nerve with their unadorned portrayal of Everyman Larry Gopnik, the movie does give its audience a chance to laugh at themselves.
The opening to the movie is especially fascinating, although the Coens claimed that it actually had nothing to do with the movie itself.
