Pure Coen brothers. From beginning to end, the film's characters are in the proverbial trainwreck which we can't look away from-- and its images will sear into your mind. As much as the Coen brothers make you squirm as they put their characters through the worst, you can't stop watching.
And you shouldn't, either-- it's worth it.
