Review of A Serious Man (2009) by Marc W — 27 Feb 2011
Maybe you have to be Jewish (as opposed to a "goy," aka me) or maybe you just have to be a serious Coen brothers fan, but Job-like comparisons and a rather heavy-handed deus ex machina at the end to "twist" your perspective is about all I can extract from this one.
As usual, a well-planned and executed film, but a good film? It entirely depends on your perspective....
