Review of A Serious Man (2009) by Dave L — 03 Feb 2011
A Serious Man is a very watchable black comedy from the Coen Brothers. It's a rather depressing film though as we watch the main characters life pretty much fall apart and it some what lacks the brilliance of their earlier work.
Essentially a look a jewish faith and family, some of which is inspired by experiences from the Coen's own childhood, A Serious Man will make you smile but it's comparison to the likes of Fargo are undeserved.
