Review of A Serious Man (2009) by Missy P — 21 Apr 2011
This movie was completely uninteresting. not one character was developed enough to care about and the story had absolutely no point.
The coen brothers used to make good movies until they realized their name being tied to a movie was a way to trick morons into thinking their garbage was art. they know this and somewhere they're laughing about how all these "critics" who didn't understand the movie they just watched are going to praise it for how amazing it was or how it changed their lives.
Pathetic. I can't believe this movie got 89%, and that makes me sad. well coen bros, I get the joke. this movie is shit. thanks for tricking me into wasting 1.45 hrs of my life watching a bunch of incoherent bullshit.
Nice job with the intro, and thank you for letting it have nothing to do with the movie or story. the only interpretation I have is that the both of the coen brothers have serious problems with jewish females because they're demonized in this movie. the wife in the beginning is a murderer, the wive of larry is an adultress, the housewife next door is an adultress drug addict, the sister is abusive, and they're all super bitchy!
It ends with the story completely open to interpretation because the coen bros don't know how to finish a competent story that has a beginning middle and end. they do however know how to create garbage that has a beginning (that has nothing to do with the story), a middle (that has a series of pathetic whiny characters yelling at each other until..) the end! (where a tornado appears and larry gets called into the dr's office.).
