Review of A Serious Man (2009) by Stephen H — 19 Mar 2012
A dark Jewish comedy about the plight of poor Larry Gopnik, whose life might seem fairly decent at first, but soon begins to spiral into failure and gloom. With misfortune and frustrations all the way through the film, and an interesting quandary to end on, this Coen brothers flick provides enough amusement and slow-building drama to keep any fan of theirs more than happy.
