Review of A Serious Man (2009) by Spencer M — 01 Apr 2012
Joel and Ethan Cohen are always fantastic, but this was perhaps my favorite film of theirs. The metaphorical epic is indeed very hard to watch if your into step by step plot structure, but I enjoyed the human elements of all the characters, and how it was all staged on the touchiest of subjects of all: religion.
This film is in my top 3 of all time films to watch, and I'm glad I watched it twice in two different stages of my appreciation for film.
