Review of A Serious Man (2009) by Anthony K — 08 Jan 2015
Follows the Coen Bros. formula to a T: an emasculated man with shaken faith to whom had things keep happening, complete with a 4th wall breaking, apocalyptic ending. But it's missing two very important things- John Goodman, and entertainment value.
It's certainly the Jew-iest of the Coen productions, and that makes it feel more like a filming of the Coen's exploration of their own faiths than an actual movie.
