Review of A Serious Man (2009) by Presidentmerv — 21 Mar 2010
A sparkling script, filled with quirky characters, which will appeal mostly to jews who love the Coen brothers' movies. Rich in black humor, the film chronicles the crises in a Jewish man's life and the empty responses offered by all around him .
As his life collapses, we laugh at his misfortune and come to realize that the Coen brothers have created another masterful movie where events spin out of control and the tragedy of the central character is both fascinating and disturbing.
