Review of A Serious Man (2009) by Waldoj — 01 Nov 2009
Hands down the best film of the year so far, The Coens' latest, brilliant dark comedy is hilarious, engrossing, moving and brilliantly acted, with a great soundtrack (Jefferson Airplane!) and although those with Jewish relatives (such as I) would appreciate it best, the theme of having your life unravel and what to do about it is ultimately universal.
A true gem in a year with not enough of them.
