Review of A Serious Man (2009) by Edmund C — 17 Jun 2011
Another great comedy by the Coens. It seems they can do no wrong when it comes to comedy or any other genre for that matter. Michael Stuhlbarg is an inspired choice for a lead delivering a protagonist you really sympathise with in a world when he seems like the only sane man.
Fred Melamed is also fantastic and provides the most amusing character. The screenplay is superbly written and the plot is really good too. Richard Kind's character was a slight downer, however, as he was a little irrelevant and did not have many comical lines.
