Review of A Serbian Film (2010) by Stephen D — 19 Jan 2011
This film is shot very well in sections, the tense atmosphere is evident and is well achieved. I was originally compelled to watch due to the controversy surrounding it. Some scenes did make me feel sick to my stomach but at times it became so freakishly absurd I felt pretty detached from Milo's character and the whole story.
It's not a horror film in the normal sense of the genre, it's more that it's just 'horrific'. If you like films that test the boundaries definitely give it a watch, if your looking for an entertaining horror flick then no just no, and no again.
